The unique Pre-Apply Reject feature has been included which encodes and verifies the smart tag prior to applying to the product. If the smart tag cannot be verified as accurate then the label is rejected and replaced with another label prior to applying, ensuring that all of the labels applied to your products have a fully functioning smart tag included.
This method does not alter the print engine operation or media handling speeds, yet collects and counts the rejected labels for examination and disposal at the end of the day.
Mr. Neil Crump Managing Director of Peacock Bros. commented, The introduction of RFID encoder upgrade kits will represent a saving of thousands of dollars to every Australian company currently using the 5200 printer/applicator when upgrading to RFID enabled labeling systems. Another critical factor is that the encoders will be pre-compliant with EAN's smart tag standards commencing January 1st 2005.
