EasyCoder PM4i Smart Client

The EasyCoder PM4i printer acts as a 'smart client' executing user-defined programs. This means your PM4i printer eliminates the personal computer, operates additional hardware (e.g. scanners, other printers, conveyors), accesses information from the network host, and retains the ability to change as needed with the application for additional functionality. When using the EasyLan Wireless option for the PM4i, any attached peripheral devices also become part of the wireless infrastructure.

Backward Compatible

Printer command languages do not restrict the EasyCoder PM4i bar code label printer. The printer can be changed to understand and replace competitive and older Intermec printers without requiring any changes to the host programming or label formats that are currently being used.

Wired or Wireless Connectivity

The EasyCoder PM4i includes integrated wired or wireless EasyLan networking. The EasyLan Wireless interface uses an integrated standard 802.11b radio. This radio provides 128-bit WEP encryption of the information relayed through the network. Intermec's wired and wireless technology ensures secure printing and network infrastructure for all environments.

Versatile

This is an extremely versatile bar code label printer. There are up to five interface ports that can be used simultaneously. The EasyCoder PM4i includes serial, parallel, USB, internal EasyLan Ethernet, and EasyLan Wireless. The magnetic QuickMount printhead eliminates hassles and the need to call a service technician. The printhead is replaced quickly and easily with the magnet and u-brackets ensuring proper alignment. The double-clutching ribbon mechanism means that you are no longer restricted to ribbon types based on how they are wound. The handy, inexpensive and PC-compatible Compact Flash memory provides quick and easy upgrades of firmware, fonts and memory.

EasyCoder PX Series of bar code printers

The EasyCoder PX series printers are rugged, metal, high-performance printers designed to excel in demanding 24/7 duty applications. The PX4i and PX6i feature a maximum print width of 4 or 6 inches respectively. Both versions are available with 203 or 300 dpi resolution printheads. The open, modular design ensures the printers are easy to adapt, maintain and service.

Fast Print Speeds

The PX series printers print instantly from first to last label at up to 12 inches per second. This is ideal for on demand and compliance labelling applications with variable data requiring immediate results. The combination of powerful individually controlled micro-step motors, generously dimensioned power supply, and new sophisticated thermal management printhead ensures high-quality labels each and every time.

Easy Integration

Designed for easy integration into manufacturing environments, the PX series printers can be mounted in virtually any position. The versatile form factor facilitates the addition of add-ons such as an automatic label applicator. Up to seven wired and wireless connectivity interfaces can be used simultaneously eliminating connectivity restrictions and supporting additional devices. The PX series printers are the first bar code label printer to integrate Intermec's Readiness Indicator (IRI) light.

Intermec's SmartSystem

Part of the Intermec SmartSystem this light provides a visual cue to the operating state of the EasyCoder PX series printer. Participating in concert with other Intermec SmartSystem devices, the EasyCoder PX series printer communicates with the SmartSystem Console which displays status, provides access to configuration, eases installation of new printers, and assists in identifying printer consumables that require replenishment.

The EasyCoder PX series printers can operate as stand alone devices executing user-defined programs thereby eliminating the need for a PC. These printers can operate production line machinery, including scanners, scales, other printers and conveyor as well as access information directly from the network host. The printers are fully programmable and are able to change with the application as needed, providing additional functionality and continued investment protection.
